I had grand plans for email updates, comments on the M announcement and two new articles on Alex Webb and Cartier-Bresson, but I just have not had the time to sit down at the computer. Worse things could be possible right?

The workshop has been going brilliantly, we landed in Verona yesterday and are off to Lake Garda in the evening for a dinner lakeside and an afternoon shoot. But now its time to hit the streets.

They will be up soon…

  1. Good for you! Enjoy and drink in Italy. It’s kind of sad that people (not just you) need to apologize for not being online all the time when life experiences are what is really important. Looking forward to your posts eventually.

    • Hey Lisa,

Italy was incredible. I cant wait to put a few pictures up, once I can recover from not being on it for two weeks.

While I was there I had a chance to visit one of the two remaining workshops where they build gondolas. What a unique experience. Only had about 40 minutes inside, but the experience was truly unique. These are the types of things I live for!

And I am going to miss all of those Spritz con l’Aperol.

  2. Italy is a marvellous country, I’m an italian and I know… But it’s a pity that we have the worst political class in the world…, maybe after Russia and Iran….
I love so much your articles on Cartier-Bresson and in general the way you speak about photography

    • Ciao Paolo,

One political system worse than the next. They all seem deranged at some level. The US is not without its flaws, but italy seems particularly difficult for young people. Its really important for young people to feel like the can make a social contribution, whether its opening their own business or simply moving out of the house (if they want). Many young italians voice complaints that the limited options are problematic.

In the mean time, I am happy the website offers you a breath of fresh air.

      Un abbraccio!
